Executive Board Treasurer

Somebody CARES is seeking a Treasurer to join our Executive Board. The schedule is flexible, however, in-person weekly for the first three (3) months would be ideal. Our offices located in Whting, NJ are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and our Board meetings are the last Tuesday of each month. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Financial Performance and Viability - Develop resources sufficient to ensure the financial health and wellbeing of the organization. Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the organization, which includes oversight of the submission to the Board of the proposed annual budget, and various financial statements. Responsible for fiscal management that generally operates within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintains the organization in a positive financial position. Procedural tasks: Monitor the organization’s current and future financial health. Review operating budgets and make changes when necessary. Define and follow statutory and regulatory financial deadlines and responsibilities Establish and distribute the organization’s financial policies and procedures Invest in software to improve internal efficiency and output. Develop financial goals and the measures to achieve them. Align financial goals with the organization’s mission. Identify and manage risk. Safeguard the organization’s assets, data, and sensitive information.
