We are looking for you because several of our Agape Healthcare social workers and nurses are asking for items to help with anxiety, pain, and isolation. Research shows tactile stimulation can help to "center" or refocus those in pain, those who are experiencing anxiety or those with dementia. Sensory quilts, blankets, twiddle muffs and aprons- I can’t express enough how comforting these items are to patients who are in pain or anxious. These can be made a variety of ways and with a variety of items, creativity is endless here. Here are some ideas: https://www.goldencarers.com/how-to-make-sensory-blankets-for-dementia-care/5020/ https://www.goldencarers.com/how-to-make-twiddlemuffs/5015/ When you have a few done, let me know by email and I can meet you where is most convenient: rrolbin@agape-healthcare.com
