Foster a rabbit or a pair of rabbits

Fostering a rabbit or pair of rabbits is a great opportunity for someone who may not be able to make a long term commitment or who is limited financially. Fosters are expected to provide a clean, safe and loving indoor home until adopted, but short-term fosters are occasionally needed as well. We will provide you with some supplies, but fosters typically donate food such as pellets, hay and greens as well as litter. New to rabbits? No problem! Training is provided.

Experienced Grant Writer and Fundraiser

Napa Bunnies is looking for an experienced individual to assist with grant writing and fundraising efforts. To date, the organization is funded through small grants and donations, and we are looking to explore new funding opportunities to grow our programs. The individual will assist in identifying, researching, and writing grants. Ideally, the individual is highly organized, shows initiative, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. The volunteer should be able to donate several hours of time per month, however the time and location of volunteering is entirely flexible.

Rabbit adoption events

We are seeking volunteers who will provide on-site support at our monthly adoption events at the Napa Pet Food Express store in the Bel Aire Plaza the last Sunday of every month from 2-5PM. If you have a busy schedule and can’t commit to regular weekly volunteer hours, this might be a good opportunity for you! You will be responsible for attending to the rabbits at the event; greeting people; providing information about the organization and adoptable rabbits; distribute resources; and help with unloading and loading supplies and setting up and breaking down table and pens. You must be able to perform the assigned tasks, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with the public. Rabbit knowledge and experience is not required and training will be provided.

Rabbit Caregiver

We want our rabbits to be happy and healthy! Are you interested in helping us out one day a week for approximately two to three hours? This is a hands-on rabbit care role where you will be responsible for preparing greens, cleaning litter boxes and habitats, grooming and socializing rabbits. No prior experience is required and training will be provided. We have opportunities in the cities of Napa and Sonoma.
