Tasks will include taking minutes at meetings and publishing them, setting up board meetings and maintain records.

The Cypress Chamber Orchestra is a new not-for-profit organization in the Cypress, Texas area, and recently acquired 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. The Cypress Chamber Orchestra's goal are to perform concerts in the Cypress, Texas area of classical music as well as the music of our community. We are seeing an entrepreneurial executive director that will work with the two co-founders who are experienced in starting both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. While this is a volunteer position at the outset, we expect this to grow into a salaried positions as the orchestra grows. Therefore we are seeking a dynamic individual to work with us and help us build our vision into a reality. An understanding of orchestras and classical music is important, as well as strong organizational skills and insights into fundraising, orchestra management, electronic media and the enthusiasm and commitment to build success.
