Mission Statement
Founded in 2006, The Franciscan Community Development Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization located in northeast New Jersey. Our mission is to support the poor, the underprivileged, the immigrants, women and children, senior and vulnerable populations of our community.
Description
The Center is inclusive and respectful of all individuals and will not discriminate based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, equal pay, disability, and genetic information. The primary focus of this unique mission is to promote and improve the quality of life, social and economic well-being of these at-risk populations by eliminating factors that lead to poverty and disenfranchisement by providing a wide range of compassionate, pro bono educational, organizing, and advocacy programs along with health, social and legal services in collaboration and partnership to these at risk populations in a culturally sensitive environment.
While building a better community, we will strive for the empowerment of all people through equality, fair employment, education, literacy, and job skills training, specific to the goal of achieving complete economic self-sufficiency. We are humbled to engage in an opportunity to enhance the quality of life and dignity of each human being as individuals but with specific needs and to embrace our commitment by creating a stronger, healthier, and more sustainable community with a profound sense of equality in sharing and caring for the most chosen.
