Mission Statement

ShoeHeals provides new shoes to those in need as a way to restore their confidence, dignity, and hopes to empower them to walk forward on a path to stability and well-being. New shoes are a practical first step to restoring a sense of confidence and self-esteem in those who lack basic necessities. By empowering people to put their best foot forward, we strive to heal the human spirit.

Description

ShoeHeals is on a mission to enlarge our reach and bring new shoes to those who so desperately need them in the city of Chicago and the surrounding area with the ShoeHeals shoe mobile. The shoe mobile will:

  • Be an 18-foot step van that will drive around the city and the surrounding areas bringing new shoes to those who so desperately need them.
  • Be equipped with storage for 200-300 pairs of new shoes.
  • Have space for a podiatrist to see clients for basic podiatric needs.
  • Have a small display wall of 5-8 pairs of shoes for clients to have a choice and a voice in the type of shoes they want.
  • Connect those in need to other critical resources such as food, shelter, healthcare, clothes, etc. to help them find their path to stability and well-being.
  • Be the first-ever shoe mobile in the Chicagoland area that brings new shoes to those in need.
