Promoting an emphasis on academics and communication skills, the MNCO is considered a launching pad for young women to further their academic and career goals.

The Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant, an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant, is a part of the largest scholarship-providing organization for women in the world.
The Miss North Carolina Organization provides young women an opportunity to further their personal and professional goals and instill a spirit of community services through a variety of unique statewide community-based programs.
