DELMONT VISIONARY COMMITTEE

Description

We are a group of volunteers whose goals are to work to make Delmont Borough more bike/walk friendly, attract new businesses while supporting the existing ones, encourage people to move to the community while preserving and enhancing the historic nature of the Borough. We are just become a non-profit, tax exempt organization. We held a Bike maintenance event which we invited a mechanic from a local bike shop to teach the attendees some maintenance tips bike owners can do on their own. We also held a make your own pizza event for children age 5-10. This was held at a local pizza shop where the owner showed them how to make the dough and the attendees rolled out the dough, added toppings and took home a fully baked pizza.
We also solicited donations to purchase 12 bike racks which we installed throughout out town.
