Mission Statement

ETS Sponsorship successfully transitions service members/Veterans to their post-military hometowns in order to prepare them for their next 'mission’.

Description

Sponsorship Goal:

To reduce the rate of veteran suicide by reducing stress and offering support to those who served our Nation and set them up for success in their civilian life.

The ETS Sponsorship Program is being rolled out nationally to connect transitioning service members who are leaving military service with a volunteer sponsor in their local community. The volunteer sponsors will help the service member build a transition plan that includes identifying the resources the service member will need when returning home.

Who can be a sponsor?

Anyone - military or civilian - who are about our service members and Veterans and is willing and able to commit the time.

Who will help me on this journey?

Throughout the journey with the transitioning service member, the ETS sponsor is equipped with the support of the Wisconsin Veterans Network, Regional, and National level teams that serve as the network of support for our sponsors. Sponsors determine the service member's transition needs and Wisconsin Veterans Network provides the support for a 'soft landing' upon returning home.
