Our Mission Statement The mission of Lowcountry Orphan Relief is to provide support services and aid to meet the needs of Lowcountry children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Our Vision Statement The vision of Lowcountry Orphan Relief is that no child should be without the basic necessities in life, regardless of their life circumstances. Our Belief Statement We believe that all children have the intrinsic value and deserve to be nurtured, loved and protected. They are entitled to have caring adults who help them develop to their full potential. Together we have an opportunity to contribute to our children’s future, be part of an enduring effort that promotes safety and the well being of our children, providing them with the necessities of life and welcoming, safe environment.
Lowcountry Orphan Relief works directly with other non-profits, schools, foster parents, and government agencies to identify the individual needs of these and other children in severe situations. We intervene at critical junctures in the lives of these children, with products and services that provide a strong, positive impact. Since 2006, we have clothed over 30,000 children in the Tri-County area. Community volunteers at our Distribution Center collect and shelve donations. They lovingly fill Care Kits of necessary items for children from area shelters, foster care, and those removed from the custody of their parents. The Care Kits include 2 weeks of clothing, toiletries, shoes, books, stuffed animals, and school supplies and we aim to fill all orders within 48 hours of the request.
