Vasona Hill Foundation mission is to reduce number of deaths from lifestyle diseases and grow a healthier generations of people by building habits early on. Our Main programs are focused on vulnerable populations - women and children. Our program, The Book Project, brings healthy lifestyle information to the youth and their caregivers in a format of the Book. Our second program, Share The Care Project, is aiming to support communities, families with children, to give them an opportunity to get childcare, increase their income and to educate them on a healthy lifestyle. We are building a platform where parents can collaborate and share the care for their children. It will support women and children, and help the unemployed make an income. Our goal is to grow healthy lifestyle adoption while increasing income, of these communities.
We started thinking about health long ago, but to really understand how our eating habits and activity levels affect how we age came after many years of doing sport and eating healthy foods. We decided that it is easier to build a healthy habit early on in a childhood rather than fight established bad habits in the adulthood. Organization was established in 2020 and a first program The Book Project was created. Right after it a second program was born - Share The Care Project - to help support local families.
