Hospice Volunteers help our patients have a moment of normalcy in the midst of what might otherwise be a stressful time. Bristol Hospice of Fall River is currently looking for kind, compassionate individuals that are looking to donate some of their free time to give back to others. We currently are seeking individuals to join our team of dedicated caregivers to provide companionship, offer support to family and caregivers, assist our office team, or participate in community outreach. These contributions are essential to our hospice program. Hospice Volunteers gain great personal satisfaction in knowing that they made an impact in someone's life. We have a great need in of your services in Norton, Attleboro, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford, Fairhaven and all the surrounding towns in Bristol County. We can set you up to see patients in your own town!

Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers to provide an array of support services to patients and their families. Hospice volunteers gain great personal satisfaction in knowing that they made an impact in someone's life. Some activities you can do as a volunteer: provide companionship, provide comfort and support, provide respite time for caregivers, run errands, special projects, play music, read aloud, enjoy a sunny day or watch a movie, and assist in the office and in the community. Bristol Hospice covers all of Bristol County and we can provide you with opportunities in your own community. We are flexible and will work with your schedule. All we ask for is a commitment of 1-2 hours of your time per week. All of our volunteers are properly trained. We require background checks and reference checks before performing any volunteer duties. We also provide ongoing education, related resources, supervision and support to members of our volunteer team.

Bristol Hospice is seeking Volunteers in the Wareham, Marion, Fairhaven and New Bedford area to provide supportive companionship visits to our patients in your community. We are growing quickly and we now have patients in your neighborhood. Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers to provide an array of support services to our patients and their families. Hospice Volunteers gain great personal satisfaction in knowing they made an impact in someone's life. Hospice volunteers enhance the daily lives of our patients in many ways. Some examples are providing companionship and a comforting and supportive presence during the final weeks, days and hours of life. Volunteers can provide respite time for caregivers. Sometimes just playing music, reading aloud, enjoying a sunny day or watching a movie can make an enormous difference in a patient's day. The volunteer gives patients a moment of normalcy in the midst of what otherwise be a stressful time. At present our patients are located in their homes, Assisted Livings and Long Term Care facilities. We also participate in the We Honor Vets program and would love to provide 1:1 veterans companionship

We are currently looking for Volunteers in the Bridgewater Raynham Taunton and surrounding area to join our team. imagine being able to provide support and comfort to individuals in your community. our census is growing in your area and we have some awesome patients that need you. Bristol Hospice relies on volunteers to provide an array of support services to our patients and families. Hospice volunteers gain great personal satisfaction in knowing that they made an impact on someone's life. Volunteers help our patients make everyday a better day and give patients a moment of normalcy in the midst of what might otherwise be a very stressful time. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Whether it's providing companionship to a patient, offering support to family and caregivers, assisting the office team or participating in community outreach, the contributions of our volunteers are essential to our hospice program. We have patients residing in the community and in facilities in all areas of Bristol County. We probably can have you visiting with patients in your home town or a town very close by. No experience necessary as we do a very in depth training program and ongoing support. We encourage individuals that speak a second language to apply. We also encourage Veterans to consider volunteering. We belong to the We Honor Veterans Program. Our patients need you ! Please consider joining our team.

In order to meet the needs of our of our non English speaking patients we are looking for Volunteers who speak either Portuguese or Spanish. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Our Volunteers provide companionship, offer support to family and caregivers, assist the office team, or participate in community outreach. Hospice volunteers help our patients make every day a better day and give patients a moment of normalcy in the midst of what might otherwise be a stressful time.
