Mission Statement

The Bay City Public Library connects residents of Matagorda County with information, technology, ideas and experiences to provide enjoyment, enrich lives and strengthen our community.

Description

The Bay City Public Library has been serving the Matagorda County communities for over 100 years. In addition to general library services (materials for checkout, computer access, and reference help), the library offers programs for all ages including storytime, afterschool programs for children and teens, and relaxed art nights.

The library regularly partners with other City departments and local organizations to offer programs and events to meet the needs of the community.
