Mission Statement

Happy Tails Rescue of Minnesota, founded in 2005, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue dogs and cats providing them with loving temporary care until a well-matched, carefully screened forever home can be found.

Description

We are looking for volunteers to help with our surgery department. The surgery team spends most of its day performing high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter surgeries but other specialty surgeries and exams are also scattered in. We would be happy to get any help that we can, whether it is just a few hours a week or more of a formal internship or self-study set-up! We currently need help with giving medication to the sick animals staying in the facility, cleaning surgery instruments, and helping to recover patients after surgery. There are definitely more areas to help with such as surgery prep if interested and if the other areas are covered.
