Mission Statement

Towards Freedom’s mission is to inspire people to live with compassion in all areas of their lives. Its purpose is to educate people regarding public interest topics such as environmental protection, animal protection, human rights, health, peace, nonviolence, social justice, and leadership through educational events and other appropriate avenues.

Description

As of June 2014, Towards Freedom has produced thirteen festivals called WorldFest. The new name of the festival is now VegFest Los Angeles. On May 1, 2016, the 14th successful festival was held. The mission of the festival is to create a fun event that inspires. Held in the Los Angeles area, the event has an amazing vegan marketplace and international food court. This volunteer-run, green-powered, outdoor food and music festival highlights healthy living, the environment, social justice, and animal rights.

This year, a portion of Vegan Oktoberfest will be benefiting Towards Freedom! Vegan Oktoberfest is like a traditional Oktoberfest celebration, but all vegan! The event is held at LA Center Studios in downtown LA (450 S Bixel St, Los Angeles, CA 90017). Volunteers are needed for both the set up on October 15th and the day of the event on October 16th.
