Kindful hospice is recruiting for an office volunteer. Making patient packets, printing patient charts, putting up medical supplies etc. We work with your schedule. Our office hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday. We needs volunteers to work at least 2-4 hour schedules so projects can be completed. We use masks in the office and we test for Covid once a week. Our clinical staff do not come into the office very much because of Covid so we use volunteers to help in the office.. Its a fun work environment. Volunteering for Hospice is a wonderful way to help and give back to your community. Everything a volunteer does helps our patients.

We would like to make memory bears and pillows for our patients' families that pass away. We use clothing and blankets from the patients. Volunteers will sew the pillow and or memory bears. We provide the materials; all you will need to do it to cut it and sew it. It is a very special thing to be able to provide these families with some comfort while using your sewing talents. You will need your own sewing machine and you will be able to complete these at home. We ask for a commitment of at least one completed project a month. If you have time to make more a month that would be great. With all the tragedy that Covid has brought us, it is a wonderful opportunity to give back to your community and aid in the healing process.

Kindful Hospice would like volunteers to write one page life stories of our patients. We would have you call or visit the family of the patient and listen to them talk about their family member. You could write a longer story for the family but for the patient we need a one-page story. We would like to put a one-page story in a frame with a picture of the patient. We would like everyone that inters the room at a facility that has our patients to have this story about a patient. We would like to show who this patient was and not who they are now because they are elderly and sometimes in poor health. We think everyone would respect the patient so much more to know what the patient accomplished in his or life. It would also make our families feel good about someone taking an interest in them. Sometimes it brings great comfort to our families to be able to talk about their family member. All of our volunteers are required to complete an application, background check and fingerprinting. We pay and schedule all of it. Also, because there is a mask mandate all volunteers are required to be vaccinated

Kindful hospice needs compassionate volunteers that could sit with our patients, while caregiver runs errands. You can offer drinks and food to patient, but no hands on care. We train volunteers and will go with you the first time you sit with a patient. Some patients are able to talk and you can visit with them, others might sleep while you are there, so you could read or watch TV. This is so important to be able to give these families a break, to go to Dr. or shopping. Caring for a family member 24/7 is very tiring and stressful. That is where volunteer angels come in for a while and bring relief for these families. We have patients all over the OKC Metro so you can choose which area of the Metro you would like to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and using your compassionate talents. All of our volunteers are required to complete an application, background check and fingerprinting. We pay and schedule all of this. Also required is a Covid Vaccine. xxsxs

Be a friend and companion to a hospice patient. We are seeking volunteers to be a friend and companion to our hospice patients. We have patients within a 50 mile radius of OKC so we have a volunteer opportunity near you. We also have an office is Norman. Volunteers can visit, provide companionship. Do Hand Lotion therapy on patients hands. Some patients would like to have their nails polished, hair fixed etc. Just a fun pampering time for our patients. Please consider being a friend today. We like for our patients to live the fullest lives as long as they are able so we find ways to enhance their lives through volunteers.
