Mission Statement

Northern California Nigerian (NCN) is a nonprofit organization for the diaspora Nigerian community. "United- together we thrive, achieve, grow and flourish as a community" is the core mission that drives NCN goals and activities, which it tries to accomplish by fostering a sense of community bolstered via creating opportunities for real and lasting connections within its membership body. NCN is a professional and family organization that offers a plethora of social, community & professional support, educational and informational resources to its membership body.

Description

NCN was formed in 2015 and welcomes anyone with a familial connection to Nigeria irrespective of race looking for a community in the Bay Area and extended regions.
Programs :
Quarterly family style potlucks held across the bay area allows for members to network and form connections.
Children programs offered till date include fun and educational cultural awareness learning sessions, virtual tours of educational museum and landmarks
Educational/informational seminars with speakers from the lifestyle, financial and real estate sectors to provide valuable overview to members
Goal:
To fully embody what it means to be a community: by offering continued cultural awareness for next generation, serve as a resource entity that provides a safe and inclusive space for members to get relevant information, build community and make connections that would make them thriving and successful residents of the Northern California
