Women United is committed to offering our Kinship families mentoring services, resources, programs, and events for the entire family. Our Mission is to strengthen the family unit in partnership with the community we live in and serve.

Description

Women United has always supported women in one way or another. After completion of raising my nieces my nieces into my I found offers support, resources, service and events for Grandmothers raising grandchildren. Women united has provided unique services and programs for Kinship Caregivers and we make a point of giving back to the community. Women United offers the Threads of Change beginners sewing classes, upon graduation of basic sewing skills Kinship Caregivers graduate to Grandma's Hand where they assist in making Pajamas, Pajama Bag's, Boxes for children uniting with relative caregivers. Our goal is to share expand Women United and our programs as a model to build upon and share these skills with as many Kinship support groups as possible kinship caregivers that
Programs include, Kinship Carnival, Backyard Socials, Hopes Closet, Events The Love Train Community Block Party. Women United has received media coverage from Seattle Times, Crosscut Magazine, Unsung Hero Award, Recently nominated for the Champion of Change Award by former Seahawk Wide Receiver Doug Baldwin and Albertson Safeway Foundation External Affairs Director Sara Baldwin.
