Mission Statement

Our mission is to bridge the gap between school and home for girls and young women providing the educational support, mentorship, and enrichment programming needed for developing life skills and academic success.

Description

Girls Saturday Academy Inc. provides free academic and enrichment mentorship online and in-person for students from kindergarten through college.

Led and founded by Executive Director Tiffini Jones and Deputy Director Dr. Antonella Vitale, We are a team who have created an organization working to build a bridge between home and school - a gap that often exists for low-income students, particularly black and brown students, and first-generation immigrant families.

Our programs are designed for children and parents, providing opportunities traditionally denied to low-income families. We pride ourselves on complimenting students’ current learning experiences while looking toward a college and career-focused future. K-12 programs are rooted in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, emphasizing building communications skills, self-esteem, and creative expression. STEAM education empowers students to be curious learners who seek innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Our goal is to support students in developing the skills to succeed in college, in their chosen careers, or wherever life takes them.
Knowing that post-secondary education is a gateway to upward social mobility and better lifelong opportunities, in addition, GSA Inc. looks toward student learning beyond high school. We provide access to college campuses, mentorship, and programs that provide information on the application process, entrance exams, admissions, scholarships, and financial aid.
