We are looking for Veterans who would like to volunteer on our team and provide support and companionship to our Veteran hospice patients. There is a special bond between Veterans, and we want to embrace that here at Gentiva Hospice. If you are a Veteran and would love to help support a hospice Veteran by talking with them and visiting with them, please reach out to me. Help us support our hospice patients by making weekly tuck-in phone calls to them! We are looking for volunteers to check in with our patients on a weekly basis by calling them, Volunteers are required to go through volunteer training with us. This includes a volunteer application, background check, drug screen, and TB test. Please reach out to me for more details.

Gentiva Hospice staff see our volunteers as a big piece of the hospice picture! Volunteering for our hospice patients can be done in different ways such as providing companionship at a patient's bedside, to running errands, looking at photos, or watching a movie. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our team! Volunteering is flexible and we will work with your schedule. Please let me know if you would like to be matched with a Gentiva Hospice patient to provide them with extra socialization and companionship! Our Volunteers make our patients day a little brighter!

We are looking for volunteers, that would be willing to visit patients, who can provide an hour or two of caregiver relief during the daytime once a week to families who would greatly appreciate your support. volunteer relief duties - May consist of lending a hand to the family to go run an errand/ giving the family time to unwind for a couple hours for whatever reason it may be, shopping, Dr. Appt, self- care... For anyone who has experienced being with a loved one at the end of life's journey, they know that hospice patients and their families are in need of great support during their crucial time. Quite often the caregiver of the patient is overcome with emotional stress or burnout due to their families' circumstances such as feeling overwhelmed or tired and the constant worry of their family member during their end-of-life stage. Situation like such is inevitable but we can make the process easier. All we need is you to make a difference. Training is provided. Background/drug test required.

We are looking for an Administrative Volunteer to help in the office. The Administrative Volunteer provides support to office personnel through clerical and administrative functions. An Administrative Volunteer may help with answering the phones, filing, making copies, data entry or helping create admission packets. Our office is open Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Please let me know if you have questions.
