Mission Statement
Historic women’s club dedicated to self-improvement, public service, and community.
Description
The Women’s Twentieth Century Club of Eagle Rock was founded in 1903 when a small group of women in the Eagle Rock Valley, like other turn-of-the-century women, organized with the aims of self-improvement, public service and to promote the social and literary welfare of our community. Through sheer will, determination and a lot of fundraising the women built the clubhouse in 1914. Notably, the early women of the club were among the leaders in the suffrage movement in California. If you are a woman, you are directly affected by the work of the women of the WTCC. Since then, the club has remained completely run by volunteers. Women through the years have donated time cleaning, running events, raising funds for maintenance and more. All while continuing the mission of the WTCC founders to enhance our community and leave the world a better place.
