Our mission is to empower the next generation by providing education, networking opportunities, and community-driven initiatives. We host fundraisers, networking events, and charity galas to support our mission-and we need a dedicated planner to bring these events to life! About the Role Position: Volunteer Event Planner Location: Must reside in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) area Commitment: Project-based, flexible hours Compensation: While this is an unpaid volunteer position, successful candidates will receive a percentage of the donations raised from each event to help offset time and effort. What You’ll Do Plan and execute fundraising events, networking mixers, and charity galas Secure event venues that align with our nonprofit’s limited budget Build relationships with vendors, sponsors, and donors Coordinate logistics, guest lists, and event programming Ensure seamless event execution with a professional touch Who We’re Looking For Experience in event planning, hospitality, or nonprofit fundraising Strong network of DMV venues and vendors Ability to negotiate deals that work within tight nonprofit budgets Passion for community service and mentorship Creative problem-solver with strong organizational skills Why Join Us?
