Interim Home Health and Hospice is a full-service hospice that serves clients in Wayne, Oakland, and parts of Livingston county. Providing support for those who have lost a loved one to a terminal illness is an essential service that hospice provides. Here at Interim Home Health Care and Hospice, we follow our families for up to 13 months after their loved one has passed away, providing individualized support to each person. Our hospice is seeking a volunteer to assist the Bereavement Coordinator with providing bereavement support to our families who have lost a loved one with our hospice, as well as community members. Tasks may include assisting with mailings, assisting our Bereavement Coordinator with community grief and loss groups, research requested grief and loss topics, and assist with low-risk check-in phone calls. Volunteers must be 18+ years of age. Volunteer will be required to participate in our regulatory volunteer onboarding and training process, including training on grief and loss. Interim Healthcare and Hospice is a full-service hospice that supports a person’s quality of life when time is limited. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our patients, and those that love and care for them. We are looking for a volunteer in-home companion to serve our patients in Wayne County. As member of our Hospice team, volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve. These volunteers provide social visits for the patients and the families that we serve, and can have a huge impact on both our patients and their caregivers. These visits support our patients by enhancing socialization, and providing meaningful connections. We work with our volunteers, and our families, to make sure these social visits are meaningful and centered around that individual. Social visits may include, but are not limited to, providing bedside companionship, playing their favorite game, reading their favorite book, reminiscing with the individual, and more. In-home Companion Volunteers must be 18+ years of age, and willing to complete our required onboarding and training process. Interim Hospice of Oakland County is looking for a volunteer to offer pet therapy for our patients and their families. This volunteer would do home visits with their designated service pet to visit patients and families in the home setting. We cover Wayne, Oakland, and Livingston county. Must be 18 years of age or older. This role is scheduled on an as needed/ requested basis. Pet therapy certification is required. However, our service territory includes Wayne, Oakland, and parts of Livingston counties. As member of our Hospice team, volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve. Consider joining our team as an art therapist! This volunteer would be responsible for providing and creating art projects with patients, families, and bereaved clients, as well as for patients and bereaved clients. This volunteer would be responsible for planning and executing the art projects, in coordination with the Volunteer Coordinator, and be willing to visit patients and families in their homes, as requested. Individuals must be at least 18+ years of age, and be willing to complete the required onboarding and training requirements.
