Mission Statement
The Burlington Junior Woman's Club, part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Clubwomen transform lives each day, not simply with monetary donations, but with hands-on tangible projects that provide immediate impact. Our projects focus on six primary areas: Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness.
Description
The Burlington Junior Woman's Club is a community service organization based in Alamance County, North Carolina. We are part of several larger organizations, including the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The women in our club work together to support various local, national, and international endeavors. All Women's clubs are open to all women aged 18 and up. The 'Junior' women's clubs are open to ages 18 - 45.
BJWC meets the first Wednesday of every month (excluding July) at the John Robert Kernodle Senior Activities Center on Mebane Street in Burlington. The meetings begin promptly at 6:30 P.M. (**COVID update: Meetings are being held via Zoom. Contact the club for more info**)
