Mission Statement

Green Halo Scholars is a nonprofit organization that focuses on supporting self-motivated, underserved, low-income and/or first-generation high school seniors to apply, attend and succeed in college. What distinguishes Green Halo is that we work directly with high schools throughout the Western Suburbs of Chicago, including Bolingbrook, Hinsdale South, Hinsdale Central, Lyons Township, Proviso East, Proviso Math and Science, and Proviso West. Green Halo Scholars’ supports and mentors the students through the college application process, financial aid, and scholarship identification and application.

Description

Green Halo works with each of our scholars on the college application process.

We assist them in making informed college choices based on the best academic, social, and financial fit.

We teach our scholars how to build their college lists and evaluate the graduation rate,

academic quality, and overall sustainability at each of the colleges they are considering.
