OPUS 99 YOUTH ORCHESTRA

Description

The Opus 99 Youth Orchestra is an ensemble designed for young musicians who seek a community of like-minded individuals that share a passion for music. The orchestras, comprised of middle school students grades 6-9 and high school students grades 9-12, will meet once a week on Tuesday evenings, depending on orchestra placement, for two hour rehearsals starting October 12, 2021.

The mission of Opus 99 is to offer a unique experience to young musicians who want to achieve a more professional experience with their musical aspirations. The directors and faculty of our ensembles each hold a tremendous passion for the craft of music creation, and wish to facilitate enlightening moments for young musicians in order to elevate their musical skills. Performance at the highest level is the intention of Opus 99, and creating a culture of refinement is how we aim to uphold this principle in order to achieve our maximum potential. The founders of this ensemble have become aware of the great need for this ensemble in the northern Houston area, and seek to provide their talents as a service to cultivate the motivated and thriving musical arts community in the northern suburban areas. This intensive program will offer students a supplement to their school’s music program through high caliber instruction from leading professional artists, and the comfort of performing music in an enriching environment.
