Highway To Destiny is a nonprofit that serves the homeless in St. Louis City and County. Our mission is to assist them by providing the basics that will help them transition into communities. We have been in existence since 2009 and we are continuing to move forward. We currently have an opening for a Secretary to serve on the Board. This candidate will send out the agenda for monthly meetings, take notes during meetings, send out meeting minutes in a timely manner and perform other secretarial duties. This candidate is expected to attend the majority of the meetings during the year. This candidate should also live in the St. Louis area and speak fluent English. HTD has been in existance since 2009. We serve homeless individuals in St. Louis City and County by providing hygiene items, food, clothing, household items and other resources that assist them in transitioning into communities. We are looking for canidiates who will 1) Participate in building the organization's foundation 2) help HTD carry out it's mission and vision 3) work closely with other board members 4) attend monthly meetings 5) provide financial support every year. Highway To Destiny is looking for a board treasurer who can perform the following duties: 1) perform regular board member responsibilities, 2) manage the finances of the organization, 3) provide annual budgets for the Board's approval and 4) ensure development and board review of financial policies and procedures.
