EMT/EMR - seeking certified EMT/EMR Volunteers Southbury Ambulance Association (SAA) is looking to bring qualified EMTs and EMRs onboard to work with medical emergency response and patient care. As Volunteer EMS, you will work directly with patients and ambulance transport. Additionally, you will receive training and assistance to maintain or obtain certification, as required. We are a small town with a significant portion of the population over the age of 65. Our ambulances service over 3,000 calls annually. There is a great deal of variation between the types of calls that you will respond to on a daily basis. SAA has transitioned to an ALS provider and provides ALS as well as BLS care. At Southbury Ambulance Association you will find a supportive and knowledgeable staff and a caring attitude. We look forward to welcoming you to our team. CPR/AED Instructor

Southbury Ambulance Association (SAA) is seeking a Volunteer CPR/AED instructor that would be willing to teach roughly one class per month. This individual must be certified through either American Red Cross or American Heart Association. The dates and times are flexible and we will work with your schedule. Trainings will be attended by current EMTs and EMRs, as well as by SAA volunteers. As a non-profit patient care organization, we rely heavily on the generous donations that we receive from our community. The time that you donate to train our volunteers and staff is greatly appreciated and goes a long way towards achieving the highest level of community care possible. An Administrative Assistant (Volunteer) is needed in our office. We are seeking help with social media, community outreach, filing, data input, and other administrative activities. This would be the perfect volunteer opportunity for a student looking to gain some work experience (hours can be modified to accommodate the right candidate) or an individual that wants to join an outstanding non-profit organization. The Applicant should be comfortable using Word, Excel, and other software programs. Position requires 10 hours or less per week (flexible hours). This is an unpaid position.

The SAA is a professional organization that provides emergency care, transport and assistance to residents of Southbury and the surrounding community. On an annual basis, SAA responds to more than 2, 030 emergency requests. We are a non-profit organization and depends on donations and the dedication of our staff and volunteers.
