Patient care volunteers with therapy dogs provide personal care or emotional support and practical assistance, which enhance the comfort and quality of life for patients and families/caregivers. See the patient's smile as they have the opportunity to visit with the furry friend. Many of the patients at one time had a dog and miss that interaction. Therapy dogs must have completed their training, be current with all vaccinations and owners will need to go through the volunteer training class. Come join the Dove Hospice Volunteer group with your pet therapy dog and make the patients smile !

Do you play guitar? Cello? Violin? Keyboards? Is your voice your instrument? We at Dove Hospice are looking for musicians who are willing to share their talents with hospice patients and their families at a challenging time in the patient's life journey. For many of our patients music has been such an integral part of their lives and at their end stage seems to bring so much happiness. Training is provided and hours are flexible. Whether you can give a couple hours a month or a couple hours a week, your effort will be much appreciated!! Opportunities in Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset, and Ocean counties.

Calling on Somerset, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Ocean county residents-Dove hospice brings about a warm, sensitive and collaborative approach in an effort to support the unique needs of families and their loved ones experiencing the challenge of end-of-life. We are equally committed to looking for volunteers who can dedicate a small amount of time and assist in areas such as providing companionship, bereavement support, administrative functions, craft projects, pet therapy and taking part in our Special Moments program (which incorporates visual, sound and tactile stimulation for persons with dementia). In addition, we are also looking for and very appreciative to military veterans who would be able to dedicate a small amount of time to help fellow vets on hospice.

Dove Hospice is excited to expand our We Honor Veterans Program. We are looking for motivated veterans interested in providing compassion, support and outreach to fellow veterans and their families. Responsibilities can include: Friendly visits Providing information on Veterans Benefits and/or assisting with the VA Application process for hospice patients and families Networking and presentations at community events. Hours are very flexible, and ample training will be provided. Openings in Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Middlesex counties.
