Preserving Hometown Experiences Music Fund provides resources, opportunities and services to local musicians and music professionals in need. We strive to ensure the continuation and growth of our music community so that the music never stops and our community thrives.
We are a 501.c.3 non-profit organization that aims to ensure the sustainability and growth of our local (defined currently as the broader Maricopa County, AZ area) music scene. We aim to help musicians overcome many of the challenges/obstacles they face in maintaining and growing their career in music. The arts are an underserved part of our community and as such we look to create unique events fueled by music but that also incorporate many other art forms so that we lift up the entire art community. Our programs are designed to help musicians first but then to directly impact our community through music. We focus on music education at schools, bring music to underserved and under-exposed areas of our community and leverage education directly in the music community to allow them to gain the skills necessary to further their careers. It’s all about staying and supporting local. Our vision is that we create a local community (businesses, community members and artists) that thrives because of music. Imagine Phoenix as the next major music-fueled city, such as Nashville or New Orleans.
Beyond our external facing mission we also strive to create volunteer opportunities for growth and experience that can help our volunteers further their careers. We embrace inclusivity and diversity and have the following core values: Accountability, Innovation, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and FUN!
