JuniorCoach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2018 dedicated to making instruction in the academics, athletics, and arts open to every child who wants to learn. As a JuniorCoach, you will be the most important and valuable part of the organization. You will be providing a 30-minute virtual tutoring session with a student. You can provide any subject that you feel confident with. This opportunity is completely virtual with a flexible schedule. Once you opened you available time, students will be able to book lesson with you. You can manage your schedule at any time online. Our organization is eligible to grant volunteer hours. Whether you have a school requirement, a job requirement, or other, we will be happy to sign off any forms you request so that you get the hours you served recognized. In addition, you can create your own clubs online! If you would like to host classes with multiple students, you may start your own clubs with JuniorCoach! The club could be any course such as Math, English, Drawing, Debate and so on. As a JuniorCoach, you will be the most important and valuable part of the organization. You will be able to run a club with multiple students. You can tutor any subject that you feel confident with. This opportunity is completely virtual and allows for a flexible schedule. To create your own club, please email the information needed (check blow) to JuniorCoachTeam@gmail.com. And we will promote and get the students and virtual classroom set up for you! How do I set up my JuniorCoach Club? 1. You must be a JuniorCoach volunteer. If you have not yet registered, please go to https://juniorcoach.org to register as a volunteer. 2. Provide a brief introduction of yourself and state the subjects (Math, English, Science, Music, Dance, etc.) you want to teach. 3. Decide on the class time, the number of students, grade levels, and what the club expects to achieve. 4. Email our internal affair team at JuniorCoachTeam@gmail.comwith all the information listed in 2 and 3. You may make and include your own club flyer in the email. The JuniorCoach team can also design the flyer for you using the information provided . Our internal affairs team will promote your club and set up zoom links for you to use. 5. Starting from September 1, 2022, all club preparations, classes, homework assignments and corrections all count towards volunteer hours. All volunteers who run clubs may receive class preparation hours = class hours x 2 For example, if you have 8 lessons that are each 1hr, your total class preparation hours will be 8hr x 2 = 16hr. JuniorCoach is a 501C (3) non-profit organization and Certified Presidential Service Organization. With the theme of cultivating high school students' community service spirit, our high school volunteers provide free online tutoring (in academics, arts, athletics, etc!) to students aged 6-17. High school students who are willing to do online teaching are welcome to volunteer for official volunteer hours and even register for the Presidential Volunteer Award. As a JuniorCoach, you will be the most important and valuable part of the organization. You will be the leaders changing students’ lives, expanding their world views, challenging their preconceptions, and above all, being their mentor and supportive friend. Remember that for many schools, students don’t receive much individual attention and only very few get the help they truly need. You will be the people they come to for questions, advice, and mentorship.
