Mission Statement

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low-to-moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide, and are trained and IRS-certified every year. With the help of people like you, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax-filing help to those who need it most. We’re looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join our team of local volunteers. You’ll receive training and continued support in a welcoming environment. And, as our current volunteers tell us, you’ll not only learn new skills, but also get a great feeling from helping someone else.

Description

In Kent County, we provide tax assistance to clients at the Amy Ferris Senior Center and at the Kent County Public Library, twice each week from February through mid-April. We conduct our training through a combination of virtual and in-person sessions during December and January. We also have volunteer sites in Queen Anne's, Talbot, and Caroline Counties.
