Mission Statement

The Turtle Conservancy is dedicated to protecting threatened turtles and tortoises and their habitats worldwide.

Description

The Turtle Conservancy envisions a world where all turtles and tortoises ultimately thrive in the wild. Our conservation center, located in Southern California's Ventura County, acts as an arc to protect over 30 species of turtles and tortoises. Turtle Conservancy also runs international field programs where we study and protect wild turtle populations and their ecosystems through land acquisition.
