Spring Fundraising Event Coordinator

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

The Sonoma County Philharmonic will begin holding an annual spring fund raising event and seeks a volunteer special events coordinator to oversee efforts. The special events coordinator would work with the Board and Executive Director to identify fundraising event formats and activities that will serve the existing patron and donor base while focusing on expansion into new areas and age groups to grow that base. One event per year is planned, beginning in the spring of 2024. The event coordinator would identify event formats and opportunities, organize and execute the logistics of the event and its promotion. This is a creative, virtual position built around your schedule.

Greet and Seat Patrons at Sonoma County Philharmonic Concerts

The Sonoma County Philharmonic seeks individuals to assist patrons during the 2023-2024 concert series. Volunteers will greet concert goers, take tickets and direct seating. Volunteers may also assist with ticket and refreshment sales. Performances are Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, 9/16-17/2023, 10/28-29/2023, 1/27-28/2024 and 4/13-14/2024 in the beautiful Jackson Theater at the Sonoma Country Day School. Volunteers may serve on any or all performance dates, with no long-term commitment. No previous volunteer experience is necessary. It is a great opportunity to meet new people while listening to beautiful classical music.

Volunteer Grant Writer

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Grant writer would seek out available funding opportunities and evaluate their potential fit with a non-profit community orchestra's needs and eligibility. Working with the Board and Executive Director, they would draft grant applications and finalize submittals to appropriate agencies. Seeking grant funding is an on-going endeavor, but not overly time consuming. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grant writing experience to support the growth of a successful community orchestra's mission of enriching our community through the beauty and power of orchestral music.
