Empact One Foundation, a community-based non-profit organization using person centered care to treat our area’s most vulnerable populations. We work with families in settings that are safe and familiar to them, and view them as equal partners when planning, developing, and monitoring care. We are seeking energetic individuals with a passion for community to join our events committee. The Events Committee team member will work in a committee to contribute their ideas, skills and networks to plan and execute a successful back-to-school event. Committee members will assist in the areas of: Administration Budgeting Event Planning Marketing and promotion Community outreach Public relations Details about the back to school event Our Back to School event is a community event open to the public in the Fayetteville community. The Back to School Event, is themed "Fall Forward" and will include musical performances from local artists from the immediate community, additionally, children activities including story-time, children and recreational activities will be provided. Back-to-school supplies will be provided to children in grades K-12.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, many youths in America have found themselves falling behind in their academic proficiencies. Volunteer Instructors will help students improve their academic/literacy skills by providing instruction through an assembled curriculum provided by the instructor and approved by EMPACT Academy. Instructors should be able to provide scheduled instruction to children at least one session per week. To become a Volunteer Instructor you will need to attend an orientation with staff and other volunteers, then once your background is completed, your class will be scheduled and. waiting students will be added to your class. Just by listening to you from their tablet or computer, you can make a difference in a child’s life by improving their literacy abilities and build up their confidence.

The Homeless Outreach Coordinator will assist the Homeless Outreach Manager develop and implement a Homeless Outreach Program to identify, build relationships with and assist homeless neighbors living with mental illness by providing advocacy and connecting them to benefits and housing. The primary goal is to identify unsheltered homeless neighbors living with mental illness through direct street outreach activities and through community referrals from mental health agencies, hospitals, local law enforcement and municipalities and other social service agencies. In identifying highly vulnerable homeless neighbors, the outreach team will administer assessment tools, facilitate placement into emergency housing if needed and connect individuals to social services and permanent housing. The outreach team will also assist neighbors in obtaining housing readiness documentation and accompany them through the housing application process. The outreach team will work as part of a larger team of outreach workers in Fayetteville and other areas serviced.
