Business Volunteers Unlimited provides leading-edge consulting, information, and volunteer referral services to: 1) Businesses - providing leading-edge consulting services for strategic community involvement; training and placing hundreds of business executives on nonprofit boards of trustees; and engaging thousands of employees in productive and rewarding volunteer activities; 2) Nonprofits - providing innovative and effective board development services, as well as board member and volunteer referral services; and 3) the community-at-large - serving as a volunteer clearinghouse for the general community, including families and young people. BVU was established by Cleveland's corporate community. BVU was featured in a Page One article in the Wall Street Journal (9/17/99). BVU is providing national consulting services to assist other cities, nationwide, in replicating this unique model organization.
