Mission Statement

JFFUA is focused on preserving urban farming in Arizona and inspiring the next generation of farmers. The Foundation provides education through a school to farm STE(A)M program, Farm Hands, that aims to teach youth about the food system within their own community. The goal is to inspire future farmers with a focus on health and the importance of a strong local food system. The foundation collaborates with developers to inspire opportunities to preserve land in Arizona for use as urban farms to perpetuate and secure land for a continued food source for all of Arizona.

Description

Farmland is an integral part of our food system, and it is vanishing. Our goal is to work with developers to maintain urban farms throughout the state to create a strong and healthy food system for future generations.
