Mission Statement

Beyond the Book is a 501c3 free 1-1 tutoring and mentorship service looking for volunteers in Year 10 - Year 13. Founded in California but growing in the U.K., our aim is to match teen volunteers with young students (kindergarten - Year 9) for online tutoring to help support learning especially amidst COVID-19. Through 30 minute homework help/mentorship Zoom sessions, volunteers can tutor at their own schedule making impacts and crafting meaningful relationships with their mentees.

Description

Beyond the Book aims to reimagine remote learning and to inspire students around the world through peer-to-peer mentorship and personalized educational experiences. We have over 83 volunteers in five different countries and help over 150 students per week thrive in their academics through homework help, class organization, and mentorship, all while fostering a greater learning community.
