FRIENDS OF THE HASLET PUBLIC LIBRARY

Mission Statement

The Friends promote informed interest in the Haslet Public Library ("Library") including, but not limited to promoting civic engagement through the community Library; to encourage Friends members to become active in state-wide and national library support groups; to raising funds to purchase books, magazines, newspapers, computers, printers and other necessary items required to create and maintain a quality community-oriented Library; to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests for the promotion of the objectives of the Library; to aid the Library in initially securing adequate furniture and facilities and then ongoing in enhancing the facilities; to facilitate and fund cultural and educational presentations at the Library; to help secure and maintain a historical archives section in the Library for our community; and to cooperate with the Library in developing and maintaining Library services.
