Description

To meet its mission, the Foundation for Russian-American Economic Cooperation (FRAEC) has two distinct yet complementary functions. First, FRAEC works on many levels to inform the business community about economic issues affecting Russia and the U.S. FRAEC operates as an information clearinghouse, sustaining a membership base of over 150 companies and organizations interested in working with or already involved in Russia. FRAEC also administers five strategic, federally funded programs which work to cultivate an environment more conducive to business activities in Russia. These programs include the U.S. West Coast - Russian Far East Ad Hoc Working Group, the advanced customs clearance notification system CLEAR-PAC, an American Business Center on Sakhalin Island, International Development Centers with the Nuclear Cities Initiative, and professional training and development programs through the Community Connections and Business for Russia programs
