Mission Statement

The Legacy at Home Hospice honors all spiritual beliefs. We are committed to caring for those at the end of life’s journey, and to helping families deal with the loss of loved ones. As a Jewish-sponsored organization, we are deeply committed to our heritage and honor Jewish traditions. Our accreditation with the NIJH (National Institute for Jewish Hospice) ensures that our staff and volunteers are trained in the full spectrum of Jewish traditions, beliefs and customs associated with death and mourning.

Description

Hospice is a gift, a concept of caring rather than a specific setting. A hospice diagnosis can bring so many questions, fears, and anxieties. The Legacy at Home Hospice brings decades of experience and a wealth of resources to provide high quality, patient and family-centered care wherever the patient calls home. We listen, understand and walk with you through your journey. We are here to offer physical, spiritual, and emotional support so you can honor the life of loved ones, cherish precious moments, and find peace in letting go.

We are looking for compassionate individuals to share time with our patients - conversing with them, reading to them, sharing a talent, sitting with them while a caregiver runs an errand, and simply being present. What are your interests? You will be matched with a person who will find meaning from what you have to offer. Some live in our community and others live in private homes.
