accesSOS is a tech nonprofit organization on a mission to make emergency help accessible. Our vision is communication access for all. We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer that can help our team create and manage relevant content for our social media. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Program Director to: Assist in managing and updating our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok and X Create engaging, accessible, and relevant content, including graphics, images, and captions, to share accesSOS´ activities, achievements, and initiatives. Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our organization and engage with our audience. Answer comments and questions in our social media channels. Help plan and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive engagement. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement social media strategies. Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports to track the effectiveness of our social media efforts. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms. Qualifications: Comfortable using Google Drive and the rest of the G-Suite Solutions Preferred experience using Slack or similar team collaboration tool Excellent writing and communication skills in English Familiarity with various social media platforms and trends, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok and X Basic graphic design skills using and proficiency in content creation tools like Canva Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to work collaboratively with distinct teams across the organization, as well as communicate efforts effectively Time Commitment: This is a volunteer position with a flexible time commitment of 5-10 hours per week. We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Senior Developer to join our team and help refine our products. As a Volunteer Ract Native Developer with accesSOS, you’ll work closely with a small team of software developers and our Product Manager to build, customize and integrate our current mobile and native products. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation in the tech nonprofit world, making access to emergency services available to everyone nationwide. The job will also include updating existing systems and integrating improvements to work on the user interfaces already in operation. As a Volunteer Mobile Developer you will work together with our Product Manager and Engineering Development Team to: Develop high-quality software design and architecture Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Review and debug code Perform validation and verification testing Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products Document development phases and monitor systems Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies Requirements: Proficiency in React Native development 2+ years of professional Software Development experience (iOS & Android) Strong complex problem solving capabilities Availability to commit 10-15 hours per week Ability to thrive in a start-up, semi-structured environment Advanced knowledge in our tech stack: Javascript Xcode Android Studio Strong knowledge of Git version control Bonus: Experience in high-level architectural solutions that achieve high performance at scale, reliability, and long-term maintainability Experience building PWAs Great documentation skills App Store / Play Store distribution experience Working with designers via Figma What You'll Gain: Opportunity to make a difference and contribute to a meaningful cause Hands-on experience working on real-world projects Networking with like-minded developers and industry professionals Recognition and appreciation for your valuable contributions We value diversity of experiences and perspectives, and most of our team are people of color with personal experience in underserved communities.
