Mission Statement
The Phoenix’s mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live.
Description
Since 2006, our free sober active community has inspired more than 58,000 people across the country to believe they have the strength to rise from the ashes of substance use disorder (SUD) through the support of those who are walking the very same path of healthy living. The only membership fee is 48 hours of continuous sobriety.
The Phoenix members in Idaho come from diverse backgrounds. Women constitute almost half of The Phoenix Boise members. We currently have twice weekly programming for our local Veterans Administration. By providing free programming, we strive to remove as many barriers as possible to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need to sustain their recovery and develop the community connection necessary to maintain a meaningful and healthy life in sobriety.
Through various social and active pursuits like group fitness, climbing, hiking, cycling, yoga, skiing, art and more, we believe fostering human connections in mental, physical, and spiritual fitness is a powerful way to rebuild wounded bodies and spirits and restore hope and wellness.
