Do you have a spare room in your home? Do you love cats? Consider fostering cats or kittens for the Cat Rescue and Adoption Network. The more fosters we have, the more cats we can rescue! We provide all supplies and medical care - you supply the love! The cats or kittens stay with you until they are ready to be adopted. At that time, they usually go to one of our partner locations like PetSmart. This can be a long time or as little as a few weeks. It varies because we never know how long it will take to prepare the cat for adoption. Some are healthy, happy and ready to go immediately! Some, take more time go get ready. And others, like kittens, can't be adopted until they are old enough to be fixed and vaccinated. By allowing them to stay with you, you are giving them a safe place to be until they can find their forever homes. Questions? Interested? Apply ONLINE at www.catrescues.org/foster.

Cat Rescue and Adoption Network (CRAN) is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since inception, we have saved over 4000 cats and found them wonderful, loving homes. The Adoption Counselor works with potential adopters to ensure the cats in our care go to loving homes where they can thrive. As an Adoption Counselor, you will review adoption applications, review the accuracy of the information, and determine whether it is a good fit for both the family and the cat(s). Adoption Counselors generally review 5-6 applications a month and can be done remotely as it is mostly emails & phone calls. This role can be really rewarding in that you are actively connecting cats with their forever homes. But it can also be difficult to say "no" when it's not a good fit. If you're interested in learning more about this volunteer role or any other volunteer role in our organization, please review our website and submit a volunteer application online. We will follow-up with you in 3-5 days. To apply, please fill out our volunteer form here: https://catrescues.org/forms.

Virtual Opportunity
Cat Rescue and Adoption Network is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator/Recruiter to help recruitment and retention volunteers. Responsibilities may include: - maintaining list of current volunteer opportunities and posting them online (craigslist, VolunteerMatch, etc.) - respond to volunteer applications and work with them to find a good fit in the organization - assisting with volunteer appreciation efforts like annual summer events, volunteer of the month, etc. The individual who fills this role should be self-directed, reliable, comfortable public speaking and able to represent our organization professionally. May be helpful to have a marketing/communications, fundraising, non-profit or sales background but not required. This is a new role and there will be a lot of creativity/flexibility in this role. We anticipate about 2-4 hours a week. Most of this can be done virtually or at home, but it may be helpful to have the person filling this role familiar with Eugene/Springfield, OR. Please apply online at www.catrescues.org/volunteer.
