Brand Ambassadors Needed!

Brand Ambassadors allow Craft Lake City to share our wonderful programs that we offer with the community, as a non-profit. A Brand Ambassador will be representing our organization through Craft Lake City’s booth outreach program. You will get to engage with the community directly and tell them about all the amazing work that we do! This is a great way to be more involved with Craft Lake City and help us further our mission to to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art. Location: The Brand Ambassador represents the organization at all events scheduled throughout the year at various locations. Key Responsibilities: The Brand Ambassador serves as a paid representative of Craft Lake City at various community outreach events during the year Help set up and/or break down Craft Lake City’s booth or table in each venue Greets and interacts with the public to promote Craft Lake City programs Sell Craft Lake City Merchandise Recruit Volunteers Accept Donations Provide in-depth information about Craft Lake City and its programming which includes: Artisan Workshop series, curatorial projects, exhibitions, Community Inclusion Program, the Annual Craft Lake City(r) Holiday Market, and the Annual Craft Lake City(r) DIY Festival(r). Assist with booth craft if applicable Maintain a clean and organized area during the event Take photos and video for CLC social media during the event Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator Length of appointment: The Brand Ambassador assists at least one 4-hour paid shift per month for a minimum of a six-month commitment. Time Commitment: One paid 4-hour paid shift once per month. Attend monthly meetings. Available nights and weekends. Qualifications: Interest in creating meaningful relationships between Craft Lake City and the local community. Passion in helping the local makers movement and interest in learning more about and promoting Craft Lake City’s programs and its mission. Pleasant manner, patience, dependability and ability to engage with a wide diversity of individuals, age groups and abilities. Support: Training for this position will be required. You will also receive support from the Community Events Assistant and other Craft Lake City Staff. Benefits: Representing the organization through Craft Lake City’s booth outreach program is a fun way to engage with the community and tell them about the work that we do. Make new friends, develop public speaking skills and receive free admission to fun events such as the Utah Arts Festival, Kilby Block Party, Festival Italiana and more! Brand Ambassador merch that are only available for folks who are a part of the Brand Ambassador program. Appreciation events that are held for the Brand Ambassadors. Plus more benefits to come in the future. Being able to contribute your own voices and Ideas to the BA program.

Outreach Volunteer Year-Round

We are currently looking for Year-round Craft Lake City Outreach Volunteers to join our team! Our Craft Lake City Outreach Volunteers support our Brand Ambassador team by being enthusiastic teamsters trained to represent Craft Lake City at local community events across the Wasatch Front. Interact with our patrons in a fun, engaging manner while sharing our organization’s mission to build and elevate Utah’s creative culture. Outreach Volunteers are only asked to volunteer for one shift a month, at times and locations that work for them. This is an unpaid position, with opportunities to move up into the paid Brand Ambassador position! If you love showing your creative side and love engaging with the public, then this program is perfect for you! Description

Craft Lake City does a variety of different things throughout the year like monthly workshops as well as our Annual Craft Lake City DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Festival that we host every year in August. The Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is Craft Lake City's biggest event of the year that brings in over 20,000 attendees of the course of the three days, over 300 local artisans and STEM exhibitors, 50+ performers and several hundred volunteers.

Volunteering with the people of CLC was super fun and really easy. It was nice to be surrounded by a lot of people at a very active event. I would definitely and will be volunteering more with them!
