Looking for volunteer opportunities and need to earn service hours? Here is your chance! Dance Fairies is registered 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization founded by a passionate young dancer. Our organization's sole mission is to spread the joy of dance to aspiring young dancers in the community and around the world. Over four years ago, we embarked on our journey, and in that short time, we were able to collect and redistribute thousands of gently used costumes, leotards, and all types of dance attire to aspiring dancers near and far. After the performances and competitions, dance costumes usually end up in closets taking up space and collecting dust. This is where the Dance Fairies organization comes in! Not only are we giving those costumes a second chance to sparkle on stage again, but we are sharing our love of dance with those less fortunate and also reducing the impact on environmental resources. Unfortunately, the shipping costs remain our number one expense and the most limiting factor in our ability to deliver dance costumes to children around the United States and the world. We have boxes full of beautiful costumes that are waiting to be shipped. But we need YOUR help! Are you looking for a chance to volunteer and help those in need? Our "Adopt a Box, Make a Difference" fundraising campaign is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those young dancers. It costs around $50 to $250 to send one box of costumes, depending on the weight and destination. Would you be willing to adopt a box by covering a shipping cost and helping those costumes reach little children in need who are anxiously awaiting those costumes? We would love your help and support! So what exactly can you do? Contact us at contact@dancefairies.org, and we will help you select and adopt the box, or even two if you like. Get creative with ideas on how to raise funds to cover the cost of your adopted box. The "Adopt a Box, Make a Difference" campaign is a great way for young people to show their leadership skills! Be proactive, reach out to your friends, and connect with other like-minded young people or members of your community. The monetary donation of your raised funds to our organization can be easily made through Venmo @dance_fairies, Paypal contact@dancefairies.org, or at Go Fund Me by following this link https://www.gofundme.com/f/j44cpc-sharing-the-love-of-dance. As soon as we ship your chosen box, you will receive the tracking information, photos, and information about the dance school that will receive that package. If you wish, you can send us information about yourself and maybe even a photo of you and a short letter to the children who will be receiving that box. The success of Dance Fairies' mission depends on YOU and YOUR IDEAS! Your efforts will bring happiness to others, but you will receive the biggest satisfaction knowing that you have brought smiles to their faces. Remember, WE ALL HAVE MAGIC INSIDE US! That magic just needs an avenue to express itself. We need YOU to help us create the magic of sharing the joy and love of DANCE! For every $10 you will raise during this campaign and donate to the Dance Fairies organization, you will receive one volunteer service hour. The certificate can be emailed directly to you, your school, or the inquiring organization. For example, if you raise $50, you will be awarded six service hours. SHARE THE GIFT OF DANCE! As a dancer, you know well that feeling when after numerous hours of dance lessons, rehearsals, and hard work, you finally get a chance to put on your beautiful costume, step on the stage, and enter the world of silent poetry. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to have proper dance attire and beautiful costumes to perform in. That is where Dance Fairies comes in! We share the love for dance and bring that magic moment into the life of children who may otherwise never have a costume of their own. After multiple recitals and competitions, dancers usually compile a pretty good amount of dance costumes that typically end up in their closets, taking up space and collecting dust. Dance Fairies' sole mission is to spread the joy of dance to aspiring young dancers in the community and around the world and give those costumes that have been hanging in the closets for years another chance to sparkle on the stage. Not only are we giving those costumes a second chance to sparkle on stage again, but we are sharing our love of dance with those less fortunate and also reducing the impact on environmental resources. Our "reuse and reduce" efforts have a direct positive impact on young aspiring dancers and global landfills at the same time. Helping others is what truly matters in this world, and we endeavor to do more for the children of our community and children around the world, especially those affected by the war in Ukraine today. Being able to help children who come from many different backgrounds and have experienced many hardships, including emotional and physical trauma, and provide them with an opportunity to express themselves through dance is one of our goals. At the moment, we are looking for passionate and self-motivated young individuals to join our team and represent Dance Fairies as an Ambassador! Someone who aspires to be their best self while inspiring others along the way. Does that sound like you? If so, we would LOVE to hear from you! The Dance Fairies Ambassadors advocate for our organization by sharing on social media, fundraising, and hosting dance attire collection drives. As an ambassador, not only will you develop skills of leadership, communication, and organization, but you will earn community service hours while sharing the love of dance with thousands of less privileged children in your community and around the world. This program is done remotely, so ambassadors can participate from anywhere. The accepted ambassadors will receive support from our team via email, text alerts, and through our private Dance Fairies Ambassadors FB group page. In fact, we would love to have an Ambassador representing our organization in every state. This will allow us to reach as many deserving dancers as possible. Dance Fairies has made a commitment this year to collect and redistribute 10,000 dance costumes to aspiring dancers. We are well on our way to reaching that goal, but we need your help!
