Every year The Salvation Army feeds millions of hungry people all over the world, brings millions of people to Jesus Christ and provides many more spiritual and social services to the communities where they are located. Founded in 1878 by William Booth The Salvation Army has successfully attacked the social ills of hunger, homelessness and poverty. When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army's mobile canteens supply food, clothing, blankets and medical supplies to the victims of disasters. Programs such as Angel Tree and Red Kettles raise funds to support these vital community support programs. The Salvation Army relys Volunteers to help make these programs and services possible.
