Mission Statement

Animal Life Savers is a nonprofit animal rescue group established in the year 2000. Our mission is to turn "sad tales into happy wagging tails" by finding forever homes for once abandoned animals.

Description

In 2000, Animal Life Savers, Inc. formed a foster based adoption group and set up adoption events. Membership grew in adoptions, supporters, volunteers and endeavors each year. Our current newsletter was sent to 2,700 members in 16 different states and 2 countries. We have adopted over 5,000 animals since our organization began. Our volunteers have been enriched as they find a sense of purpose because of helping animals in need. We have partnered with other organizations each time we incorporated a new program into our organization. Animal Life Savers has partnered with a volunteer coordinator in Puerto Rico for the dogs and puppies we receive from the island. We connected with Saturdays at the Center and Casey’s Club when we developed a program for young adults with special needs to become volunteers for Animal Life Savers. We collaborate with the rescue organization of Claws to ensure our animals have the utmost chance of achieving a forever home. Animal Life Savers will now be partnering with the North Bergen Health Department and animal control. Our organization feels it is imperative to collaborate with other agencies to enhance the lives of the maximum number of animals. Animal Life Savers also has a senior program in which we place a senior pet with a senior citizen. A volunteer brings supplies twice a month to the senior citizen.
