We are looking for a Recruitment Lead for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of West Valley! This position will identify and recruit new teams to Relay for Life of West Valley! They will make lists and formulate plans to reach out to the community. In addition, they will make presentations about Relay at meetings, gatherings, luncheons, etc. and will make asks to start a team. This role will also work to keep the Team Captains informed.

We are recruiting a Survivor & Caregiver Lead for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of West Valley! This position will recruit and retain Survivors and Caregivers to participate in Relay. The will plan and organize the Survivor Dinner as well as different ways to honor and recognize Survivors and Caregivers. Each registered cancer Survivor is invited to attend this free dinner with one of their Caregivers. This gives us the chance to celebrate them and allows our survivors and caregivers to connect with one another and form stronger bonds. This role will also coordinate additional activities for Survivors to participate in before, during, and after the event. Specific Tasks Plan and host the Survivor Dinner at the event (coordinating food donations, decorations, invitations, etc) Invite Survivors to attend the Dinner Coordinate Activities for the Survivor Dinner Recruit Survivors and Caregivers to join the event Recognize Survivors and Caregivers leading up to the event and day of the event Attend monthly Event Leadership Meetings Attend Team Captain Meetings as the event approaches Attend Relay for Life of West Valley on Saturday, April 6th

Bring the community together in a new and inspiring way to fight back against cancer all while having a great time! At Relay, participants form teams and host fundraiser around the field. We are searching for a Marketing Lead for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of West Valley. Relay for Life is a fun-filled, volunteer driven event that mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loves ones and fight back against a disease that takes too much. The Marketing Lead creates, develops, and implements marketing and publicity to raise awareness of the Relay for Life event. Individuals in this role will be able to coordinate, prepare, and implement a publicity and marketing strategy. Additionally, they will be familiar with or willing to learn how to utilize the resources and tools available to promote and market the event. Specific Tasks Include: Assist Online/Social Media Lead in cultivating relationships with contacts in media outlets and other promotional organizations. Plan and implement strategies for even promotion, marketing materials, and resources Assist Online/Social Media Lead in messaging for online promotion Provide opportunities for Event Leadership Team, Team Captains, participants, and volunteers to share their stories Develop relationships with business contacts and other supporters to promote the Relay for Life event and Event Leadership Team efforts Works with Staff Partner to ensure all marketing materials are available for the Event Leadership Team and teams in a timely manner Attends monthly Event Leadership Team meetings to discuss goals and progress Attends Relay for Life of West Valley on April 6, 2023
