BIPOC Support Foundation's Grant Writer Volunteer helps ensure that their Explore Next Door after school and summer programs get funded, meaning BIPOC students in underprivileged areas will get amazing educational opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise receive. The Grant Writer Volunteer helps the BIPOC Support Foundation research grants, write grants, maintain communication with donors, write thank you emails, find discounted or donated goods for events or businesses, assists with local events and fundraisers, and helps keep track of all upcoming and ongoing grants. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes Time Commitment: 4 hours a week for at least 1 year. Onboarding Process: Application, interview, and possible training. Required Skills/Experience: Grant writing experience, fundraising experience, ability to utilize spreadsheets, data entry, organizational and writing experience Note: This opportunity takes place virtually so you can help out from home. BIPOC Support Foundation's Administrative Assistant Volunteer does most of the behind-the-scenes work for their organization which is committed to providing equity and enriching education opportunities to underprivileged BIPOC youth of San Diego. In sorting through data, contacting parents, and helping organize their Explore Next Door summer programs, you will ensure the success and happiness of hundreds of students! Responsibilities include: Scheduling Zoom meetings through Google Calendar Communicating with Teaching Artists about scheduling and dates Making QR codes for Explore Next Door summer camps Making attendance sheets for camps Reaching out to parents for camps Making field trip and lunch forms for camps Gathering t-shirt sizes and confirmation of attendance for camps Creating monthly newsletters Scanning receipts and invoices Organize Google Drive, Airtable, and any other platforms Sorting through Google Sheets Reaching out to new volunteers Sending out reminders to staff, board members, and employees Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes Time Commitment: 7 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months. Onboarding Process: Application, interview, and training. Required Skills/Experience: Previous administrative assistant experience and proficiency with GSuite, Excel, Microsoft, Canva, and technology in general. Access to a computer and WiFi, good communication and organizational skills. Note: This volunteer opportunity takes place virtually so you can help out from home.
